The 2D exploration-adventure, Ib, also made its Japanese debut this week, filling a gap in the charts with a nice 9,080 sales. Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe takes the top spot for the third week in a row, selling 32,132 copies (around half of last week's total), while Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and Splatoon 3 continue to show their longevity as the titles sold 20,889 and 15,861 copies respectively. This was not enough to challenge any of the highest-selling games this week, however, all of which are the usual suspects from Nintendo. Debuting this week, the remaster of the 2008 Japanese exclusive sold a respectable 10,712 copies, beating the PS4 release which shifted a comparative 9,031. Even if the controls and movement speed still leaves a lot to be desired. The latest Japanese charts are now in from Famitsu, and while a number of Nintendo heavyweights continue to hold onto the top spots, this week sees an impressive Switch opening for Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (thanks, Gematsu). Survival horror fans, and fans of the broader Fatal Frame series, will find a lot to like about the remake of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse after the over a decade-long wait.Ĭreepy and compelling, the game is finally officially out of Japan and offering a good time for series fans. The game’s in-game movies and character models have also had a touch up making everything more immersive. ![]()
